We have found that the easiest way to estimate the weight of the laundry is by bag type! So...:

- a standard supermarket bag for life usually holds 6-8Kg when tightly packed;
- a bin bag or recycling bag typically holds 8-10Kg before they start to rip;
- an ikea blue bag will hold around 12-14Kg if filled up to the handles, or up to 20Kg if tightly packed and overfilled;
- the large clear zip Ikea bags usually hold up to 24Kg. Please note that they are prone to ripping with this much in!

Our pricing is based on the weighted capacity of our washers, which are currently 12Kg and 18Kg. Therefore, as much laundry as can fit for an effective wash within each machine is considered to be a 12Kg/18Kg load. A half full machine would be considered 6Kg, and so on. It can be tricky sometimes to get an accurate estimate with an actual scale, because with bulky or wooly items which are both dense but lightweight, they will take up more space in the machine and thus fill a 12kg or 18kg washer faster than the equivalent weight of t-shirts, for example.

This is entirely up to you. Our team do not sort through a clients laundry when loading the machines, and will assume that by packing your whites and colours in to one bag, that you are happy for them to be washed together. We don't recommend washing colours and whites together, though if you are looking to save a little then we do offer the option to add some Vanish oxi action and a colour catcher to your wash. These will help to reduce the chances of a colour run, while also adding a little extra stain removal power to your wash and extend the life of your clothes! Do not try this with new coloured items or new denim items as they have a much higher risk of a colour run.

We sure can! Simply mention to the reception that you have organised for your laundry to be collected and would it be okay for us to collect it from them directly at the reception. This will save you having to wait around or rush down to meet our driver. We will then return the bag to the same place for you to conveniently collect when you're ready!

You will be able to choose a collection slot that is convenient for you when you make your booking. On occasion our driver may check with you to see if you're in outside of this window - if they are already going to be in the area. This is to minimise our road emissions, while also providing an alternative in case plans have changed since you made the booking. Don't worry though, if you'd rather stick with your booked slot, just let him know and he will plan accordingly! The returns are usually on the same day as the collection for domestic orders (unless you live in Penarth). With most returns taking place between 12-3pm.
